What, you call this Awake?

The thing about winter is, when you stay up too late because taxlady wants to watch even more episodes of Stargate Atlantis, and then sleep through the alarm so that its somewhat past 3:30 pm when you awake, the sun is already going down, and just seems wrong.

I broke that nasty sunshine dependancy years ago in high school, when we had 5 straight weeks with a grand total of 3 hours of sunshine...and those 3 hours were when we were trying to watch a stupid movie or something so we had to close the curtains in the classroom. Doh.

It is still slightly depressing when you wake up, and there's gentle early morning sun rays in your room...until you realize it's a sunset.

I never really had that sunshine dependency, but lately I've been trying to arrange my hours to maximize sunlight in an attempt to minimize depression. Its seemed to be working so far, but my natural body clock just doesn't believe in mornings.
