Hi all. I'm getting ready to pack up and go to the WorldCon tomorrow morning, so I don't have time to do proper introduction thingies, although there's a bunch of new folks in my friends list. I figured I should post this quick message just to say that recently I've added folks for the following reasons:

1) I found your journal interesting reading while using LiveJournal to judge the effect of the recent power failure on folks.

2) I met you recently at a LJ Meetup.

3) You have 'xenobiology' in your interest list AND you had a sufficient list of other similar interests that I thought you worth a provisional friending. Lately I've been designing lots of aliens for a Science Fiction role-playing game and its rekindled my interest in the subject.

Aha ;). I knew it was the xenobiology interest. Yes, I have quite a few 'unusual' interests, among them physics, genetics, nanotechnology, and of course space travel. *grins*. I'll have to upload that picture of me and Robert Zubrin from this spring.. he came to PSU to pitch his Mars Society plan, "Mars Direct".. seemed like an interesting guy, with a workable plan.. all they need, of course, is MONEY. Heh. I guess even in the 21st century, it's all about the benjamins.

Anyway, always nice to have a new friend; welcome to my world! You can check out any time you like.. but you can never leave ;)
