Bad News on the Job Front.
Sep. 13th, 2004 03:31 pmWell, I just had another meeting with K, and it looks like I'm NOT going to be CTO of his company, if he ever gets it started. He says that all of the folks he's gone to for advice have told him that he needs a CTO with a masters degree or better (in WHAT is unspecified). I strongly suspect that the 'folks' are his mother, but that's neither here nor there. He says he will pay me $3000 for the work I've put in so far (if he ever gets any investment money) and that he is still interested in hiring me and/or pooq to do work for him once the company starts up.
So, in a nutshell, this job seems to have evaporated. I thought it sounded too good to be true. If he does manage to get some money together in the next 3-6 months, and pay me the $3K, then I'll be willing to discuss work with him, but I'm not gonna hold my breath.
On to plan 'M'...
