Nonintuitive Math.
Sep. 11th, 2004 05:15 pmSo, I just learned that as the number of dimensions of an N-Sphere grows beyond 5, its hypervolume increases ever more slowly with radius, so that its volume approaches zero, regardless of radius! Thus, I believe (if I'm not misremembering how the limits of gamma functions work) that an infinite-dimensional sphere of infinite radius has zero volume!
