Food is Yum!
Jul. 3rd, 2004 04:30 amOne of the advantages to being on a diet, and one that I've never heard praised anywhere, is that it causes you to break your old habits of eating and cooking and forces you to try new dishes and learn new recipes. So, just a few minutes ago, I made myself my first omelet. I started with a very simple cheese omelet and while it wouldn't have won any prizes, it was quite edible and did exactly the job it was designed to do: Fill me with yummy goodness!
I'm undeniably proud of myself, since I've always heard how tough it is to get an omelet right, especially when you don't have an omelet pan or a flexible spatula, and don't own anything teflon coated. Anyway, the end results were was most clearly a member of the omelet class, in shape, texture and flavour. Now that I'm not so tummy-grumbly I think I'll head off to slumber land now. Night all!
