I've managed to wrench my hours around so that I'm waking up in the morning again. I did that by the simple expedient of not sleeping at all Sunday night. This was helped considerably by the fact that supper Sunday evening was a large amount of sugary desserts courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] sfries and her antidietary dessert party.

So, once I'm fully caffeinated I can actually pursue some of those job leads that I've gotten. Being awake during business hours certainly would help in that regards.

I should also mention that we've got a vet appointment for [livejournal.com profile] sucha for tomorrow evening, that being the first slot the vet had open. I'll be very relieved to at least know what's wrong with her, although I fear it may not be something treatable. At this point I can only hope.

An old boss contacted me about continuing some work on a project I worked on 5 years ago. I'm going to see him downtown this afternoon, but I think its mostly to discuss whether it will be part-time or full-time and how much money I want.

It seems likely (85-90% chance) that I have the job.  In fact, his first words to me on the phone was along the lines of how much of a hassle it will be for me to commute into town from the West Island.

I just got a call from my headhunter. I now also have a job interview tomorrow morning. Well, if nothing else, it gives me bargaining points. Although, frankly I prefer not to have to weigh working for an old and reliable boss against working for a new and unknown one. One is far more predictable, the other offers new horizons.

I guess much depends on how things go this afternoon and tomorrow morning.
