Rum and Cocoa

I fell asleep around 5:00 pm, as I had been up for something like 18 hours at that point. I woke up 5 hours later from a stupid dream in which demons were trying to kill me by burying my house under several cubic miles of dead leaves.

They were afraid to confront me directly because I wielded the Sword of Napoleon which was a demon-slaying sword. It turned them into dead leaves.

They were angry because we had raided their treasure chamber, which had contained nothing but cardboard boxes all labeled IKEA. Its not the stupidest dream I've ever had, but it comes close.

There was also a bit with a hunchbacked zombie midget being chased by my brother, but its fading.

Anyway, I would very much like to get to sleep again, so I'm drinking a hot Cocoa doctored with two shots of Rum. Hopefully that will do the trick, and I'll end up back on a normalish sleep schedule for sps's visit this weekend.

The Cocoa Worked.

I managed to fall back asleep again, although I did wake up at 5:00 am and at 8:00 am and then finally at noon. Lots of broken sleep, with lots of bizarre dreams.

In the last one I was gainfully employed again, although due to circumstances beyond our control, (snow storms, power failures, etc) no one was actually getting any work done. I don't even know what my job was supposed to be, except that it seemed to involve writing and testing network code.
