Happy.

Just finished some preliminary clean-up after a very successful Yule party. We had a number of folks over for the annual celebration. There were eight of us in all, including kalkuly, _sps_, zadcat, lesnuages, two ladies who don't have LJs and, of course, taxlady and I.

For once, everything went just about perfectly. Folks seemed to enjoy themselves, the food was terrific, and there was plenty for all. It was a very good thing to have the house full of laughing, happy people. It certainly cheered things up around here!

Now, happy, sleepy, and physically tired, I'm going to catch up on LJ while I drink some water to ensure I don't have a hangover tomorrow. Then, bed!

That Brain Thing.

Just woke up, and am having the first coffee of the day. I'm clearly not awake yet, since I just got some mail from my cypherpunks mailing list which I misread as being from a 'cyberpants' list. I was in deep WTF for a bit until I reread the header.

Fooding.

I usually put my Atkins diet on hiatus during the period between the Soltice and New Years. So, yesterday I ate heartily and ignored my diet. In the aftermath, it looks like I've actually LOST two pounds. Must've been the excercise from all  that chewing...
