The Morning.

Well, I'm sorta awake. Not quite as bummed as I was before. Yesterday I went bowling in celebration of blacksquiggles impending birthday. taxlady and I had to leave early though, because we need to buy stuff today to try and fix the downstairs bathroom so its functional while we try to fix the upstairs bathroom... We're able to afford to fix things due to an emergency repair fund provided by my Mommy. Still, we'll have to do most of the work ourselves. I know how, in theory, to do most everything that needs doing, I just don't have much experience at the doing of it. Here's hoping we do a credible job.

I've just learned that sometime in the last week, while its been sitting idle, webigail, our web/mail server has developed a fatal hard error on one of its twin drives. The error is sufficiently bad that the machine no longer even boots. I know its a recent event because the thing successfully booted when we got back from the trip. (It had failed to boot because we not only had a power failure, but webigail somehow forgot the contents of its supposedly non-volatile RAM).

There are twin raid disks in the machine and a backup was made not long before we headed off to Denmark, but I did NOT need this kind of news to add to my stress levels...
