I didn't get to sleep until almost 3:00 am, which was a bummer because the alarm is set for 8:30 am this morning. I've got stuff to do today and that was the lastest I could afford to sleep in.

But I had a bad dream and I'm awake NOW. Bleah. I've tried going back to sleep, but nothings worked for over half an hour. Thats usually the cutoff point for me, if I haven't fallen back asleep within 30 minutes, I won't for hours.

I'm gonna go back to bed and try anyway, because I'm a walking zombie right now.

Body, meet Coffee. Coffee, meet Body. I'm sure you've got a lot of getting to know each other to do, so I'll leave you to it.

It never occurred to me before, but with the advent of things like online gambling and pokerbots, I can see how we are starting to slide into an AI arms race. Passing the Turing test has suddenly become more and more important to bots that need to work online. Meanwhile, automated systems for detecting non-human behavior also have their evolutionary forces marshalling up behind them. The results are sure to be interesting!

I should be writing right now, but my brain feels like my head is full of dead insects. This makes it difficult, as you may well understand.

I think I need more than four hours sleep in a night, these days. :-(

Hmm. It seems to be one of those days to wear the backup underwear. Its not that I don't have good underwear. Its not even that it isn't clean. Its just that I haven't put away the last two batches of laundry that were cleaned, and if I go routing around in the laundry baskets in my current state of non-mind I'm sure to get everything wrinkled.

I just have to remember that today is not a good day to walk around pantsless in public.

Today I had a plan, but today was a Monday, and no plan survives an encounter with a Monday.

If one ignores the whole pre-plan sleep plan, then the plan for the day was in two parts, both of which failed.

The first part was to take overdue books to the National Library and take out more. This failed because they only take back books on Monday, they don't let you take any out. WTF?

The second part failed in the OTHER way, in that a short visit to a friend turned into a long and fun visit, which I would talk about if I weren't brain dead.

Now I'm home and eating something because while heading here I discovered that even if I don't know how to pronounce 'Cthulhu', my stomach sure does, and it seemed imperative to shut it up before it moved on to 'Hastur'.

And now I go *THUD* over there -->
