Need some Perspective.

Notwithstanding warnings about the Total Perspective Vortex, I sometimes think I would be much happier if I had a better sense of perspective. (This comes from watching a TV show that seemed to feature a bunch of miserable people with really nice houses -- I actually found myself envying some of them at one point.)

Weekend Plans.

I just wanted to let folks know that due to the visit of _grey_knight this week, taxlady and I are making a few plans, namely:

We'll be going out to Hatterz on Friday with him. azrhey has mentioned that she'll be there. Are there any other folks wanting to go?

The next morning we'll drag ourselves out of bed and meet _grey_knight for the weekly Eggspectations brunch that mousme holds. I've just learned that mousme can't make it this week, but I'm hoping that that won't prevent other regulars like miseri from showing. After all, its kind of hard to introduce him to our new friends if none of them show...

Attack of the Stupids.

I had a phone call from _grey_knight not long ago, pointing out that he had said he was visiting on the weekend of July 1st, NOT this weekend. I'm not quite sure how I got so confused, but I suspect it had to do with the weather, my Mom's illness and my Dad's visit conspiring to ensure that I didn't have any spare brain cells for thinking.

Anyway, the result is that no one should expect to see _grey_knight tomorrow or on Saturday, unless he spontaneously develops appropriate super powers in the next 12 hours...

Since I've already told folks I'd be seeing them for supper/hatterz/brunch, I think we're just going to continue with the plan, and call it a rehersal.
