Family Reunion.

We're going for a ride in the car today. While my Dad is visiting us here, my Mom is visiting my brother Vaughan and his wife in Martintown, ontario. Except for a brief chance meeting with him last month, I haven't seen Vaughan in something like 8 years, and neither taxlady or I have ever met his wife.

So, the three of us will shortly hit the road for the 90 minute drive into Ontario and will stay the afternoon before heading back. I'm feeling very mixed emotions about the whole thing, and I haven't had a chance to sit down and work it all out. Part of it certainly has to do with the fact that Vaughan and I were once very close and over the last 20 years, we've completely drifted apart. I'm not sure we'll even have anything to talk about any more.

The Gall.

Its galling to be wrong in a firmly held belief. I'm beginning to think that I may have been dogmatically wrong about something -- something I've held true for many years now. Its worse when friends have been trying to tell you that, and you haven't listened.

Back.

Am back from Martintown, Ontario. Did much of the family discussion stuff. Finally met some people, including the family dog.

I still have too much to think about.
