I was just reading through some FOAF's journals, and noticed that [livejournal.com profile] paleharlot had ordered from an online putty supply store.

Now that is ONE business model I wouldn't have imagined. Maybe the tuna-sandwich-of-the-month club isn't such a daft idea after all? Or maybe I need to drink more coffee before posting in the morning.

One of the early accelerators for the singularity is the ubiquitous presense of arbitrary fabrication systems, not just in the richest countries, but also in the poorest.

This is a first step, but a big one.
