The Last Few Days.
Jul. 10th, 2004 02:15 amI haven't posted much substantial in the last few days. This has been due to a number of factors. First of all, I've been running a bunch of errands and so haven't actually been sitting in front of the ol' CRT very much lately. _sps_ returned from his vacation, and he's come to visit for the weekend. Due to the fact that he doesn't work Fridays and he has stuff scheduled for Sunday, he decided to move the schedule up and start the visit Thursday evening, if it was alright with us. It was, so he did.
Its been great having him around again, but this did throw my schedule off somewhat (probably for the better though -- I had stuff I needed to do on Sunday, and I wasn't sure when I would get the chance. This way I have the whole day free.) Anyway, as a result I've just been posting a few opinion pieces and pointers, and a memejoke, since I don't have to work at those nearly as much as writing posts like this.

Thursday,_sps_ arrived rather late, so we just chatted and had supper, and he then collapsed as he's still getting over the jetlag.
Today I inflicted omelets on everyone and then we went for a very long walk indeed (long from my POV. He's more used to it), and talked about everything under the sun. We returned andtaxlady made supper, although I was supposed to, because my feet hurt too much to stand and cook. While my SO was cooking _sps_ was organizing his holiday pictures and putting them onto our server (so I hope to see them showing up in his journal soon), and I was wading through a backlog of email. (3300 emails reduced to 2800 -- although that mainly because I rewrote some filters...)
So, now we've eaten and had desert, and_sps_ has headed off to bed. I've handled all of my urgent email and it suddenly occured to me that I should post something to let folks know I'm still alive. For my next trick, I think I'll think about going to bed.
