So, I slept lotsly and have been 'awake' for a few hours now. Since around 3:00 am actually. Its taken me this long just to read through my LJ backlog.

Now, I'm going to get me another cup of this 1/4 decaf coffee to help wake me. (We're starting Atkins shortly, probably after the Garden Party), so taxlady is weaning herself off of caffeine by quarters...

Its funny what can serve as a pick-me-up. I just came across Odd Todd for the first time. This is about a truely lame fellow in the same situation I now find myself in. He's broke, he's unemployed and he really DOESN'T want to have to go back to work, even though he needs the cash. I think I derive some comfort from the fact that I'm not nearly as lame as him in that I

a) have some skillz
b) have a plan.

On the other than, the work is supposed to be semi-autobiograhical, and the author has been approached by major studios to turn his stuff into a TV series...
