Japanese for Nerds

Unicode.

I was just trying to read an article online about Tibetan orthography, but my browser wont show me the glyphs. This despite the fact that I thought I had unicode support in both my OS and Browser. While trying to debug the problem I came across MUFI the Mideval Unicode Font Initiative, which I thought I would mention, because its cool. Also, the fact that they have a link to a project to produce Mideval Portugese Fonts should interest at least a couple of my readers.
