So, you know how I've been waiting for Thief 3 to be available in stores? Well, now it is. I've had faint hopes of being able to scrounge up enough money to buy a copy. Well, at this point I just discovered that it requires pixel shader technology to run at all. That means it won't run on my generation of graphics card, or anything newer. I've been wanting to buy a new graphics card for 3 years now, but with the ATI  I want being several hundred Canadian, I don't think its gonna happen soon. :-(

I bought a new card last year in anticipation of Half-Life 2 coming out in November. (This is when it was still advertised for September, so I thought I was giving them some slippage. Ha ha ha.)

Oh no! The new graphics cards have PIXEL SHADER TECHNOLOGY! We computer types don't take obsolescence well! :-D
