Its another cold and dreary day. I awoke this morning with my left knee acheing. I'm not sure why, but it hasn't liked bending all day. This has seriously limited the amount of walking I'm willing to do. As a result, I've mainly sat in front of my computer and plowed through tons of old e-mail I've been meaning to read and file for well over a year now.

Soon though I will go downstairs to lay on the couch and watch dragonball. The last time I did that, Shrederik (our tom cat) decided to climb onto my chest and snuggle down for a snooze, something he hasn't done since he was a kitten. I think he misses [livejournal.com profile] taxlady as much as I do, since she's the one he normally snuggles with when he wants to take a nap.

Urgh. Ever since this afternoon I've been smelling some weak scent of something. Something vaguely familiar and alarming and too faint to make out. Well, its gotten stronger now, and there's no mistaking it. Its a smell I only smell when I've got a cold and my sinuses are getting ready to shut down. I tend to think of it as the smell of sinovial fluid, since I've smelled something similar when in the midst of a sneeze, but I don't know if its a real smell or just some sort of strange sensory artifact. What I do know is that its usually the first symptom of an oncoming cold. This may explain the ache in my knee and the strange feeling I've had in my tummy all day. I guess feeling all gloomy and depressed this last week has sapped my resistances.
