Its that time again. I have another 3 dreamwidth invites. If there's anyone reading this who is still interested in an invite code, let me know.

Purely in the spirit of one seeking information

What is a dreamwidth and why does one need an invite??? More social networking? Or is this something that involves that chinese language you PCers use on a daily basis?

Dreamwidth is like LiveJournal. They took the livejournal software (it's open-source), but they're more open to suggestions, more responsive to their users, less censorial, and not controlled by Russian Czars. They're trying to make site maintenance more of a collaborative thing (Whether this is doing it on the cheap or a stroke of genius remains to be seen). One thing they do provide is automatic cross-posting of your DreamWidth journal to LiveJournal, so you can post on both sites at the same time.
