Dream Stuff
Jan. 21st, 2009 01:22 amI should be in bed right now, but I just remembered a dream I had last night and I wanted to record it before it faded any further.
It starts with me back in California for a second visit, and I'm apparently staying at the same place because I'm heading to my old bus stop in order to go somewhere. Surprisingly, there is now a major university beside the mall (Berkley? Stanford?) and a couple of folks I know from there are waiting for a bus at the stop (in reality, I've never seen either of these folks before, but they do resemble amalgams of some geeks I've met, both there and here).
I'm happy enough to have bumped into them before I have to head home that I get on the bus with them before I notice that I've failed to cross the street and am now taking the bus in the opposite direction from the one I was trying to go in. Anyway, I decide that I'm enough ahead of schedule that I can go a few blocks with them before getting off and catching the right bus. (As an aside, the scenery going past at this point bares no resemblance to my memories and I find this somewhat disturbing, even in my dream).
I'm just about to explain to the pair what strange set of circumstances has brought me back to California for another stint of work, when I'm woken by my alarm, so I guess I'll never know what I was gonna tell them.
And there you have it. I wonder if it means anything?
