Get Together.

I just created a Facebook event for an evening Get Together at Hurley's on Wednesday.

I'm not trying to be exclusive to Facebook, and even some of my facebook friends didn't get actual invites because the ap only lets you invite a limited number of folks.

So, here's a slightly more public announcement:

I figure its too late to do a Birthday / Welcome back get together, but that's no reason why a bunch of us can't just go out to Hurley's for Supper and/or drinks. I'm proposing we do so on Wednesday the 3rd of December and meet for 7:00. We'll stay until whenever.

Hurley's Irish Pub is at 1225 rue Crescent, between Sainte Catherine and Rene-Levesque.

Feel free to come along, and bring any like-minded folks you may know.

There's already an informal Wednesday Hurley's get-together of like-minded friends. Would it be okay if we crashed your party at some point? :D

The sucky part is that J and I won't be there for the very first time since September. :( Grrrr.

(My mother is giving a concert with her orchestra...although I'm going to try and talk J into dropping in afterwards, which might be late-ish)

We both work early Thursday morning, long ass days and the kids need to be driven around on wednesday night so I have no car :(

any idea what time you'd be heading back to the wastes, a guess?

Well, the plan is for us to be there from 7:00 to at least 11:00pm. If everyone is gone by then though, we'll leave. Since lots of folks have to work on Thursdays, thats a distinct possibility.

Alas, that is a fiendishly hard night for me to get away, especially during that time period. I have a class from 8:30 to 10:00, which means I have to be on my way there no later than 8 PM. It also means that if you're delayed due to traffic, weather, low flying alien craft,... I might end up just saying "Hi!" followed immediately by "Bye!"

I seem to recall that they serve food. If so, I could stay downtown for dinner and catch the first hour of your party. Otherwise, I'll have to pass. :-(

Pity, given that I've been trying to keep a date free for this very purpose.

Regardless, in case I don't get a chance to see you guys, I'll pass on my best wishes for a great evening now.
