This was supposed to be the week where I got my act together, started job hunting, caught up on NaNoWriMo and a bunch of other stuff. Instead, I'm now sick as a dog and slowly putting together my system again. That part about preserving all my settings -- did not go as well as planned. :-(

However I AM gratified by the deluge of "Happy Birthday"s and "Get Well Soon"s that I have received. Makes me think that folks out there care. snif.

Best laid plans, my man. I was going to come home from South Carolina on a flight arriving at 8 pm, followed by dinner and drinks with my friends, then the next week begun with job hunting.

Instead I had to flee three days early and spend the next days at the doctor's office and in bed, coughing my lungs out. I didn't see friends for days and days.
