Made it!

Well, here I am in Silicon Valley! There were some flight delays such that I wasn't sure if I'd make it on time, but I eventually arrived only a few minutes later than
scheduled. I've checked into room 262 of the Quality Inn and Suites, and everything.

The room seems fine although I gathered that it should have *both* WiFi and a Lan, and I've only found the former. Good enough for now, but I'll ask about it in the morning.

I, however, am toast. The only reason I'm still "awake" enough to type this and not face-first on the bed is that the room was an oven when I got in. The air-conditioner is currently dealing with that and I figure that the room will be a decent temperature by the time I finish reading LJ.

I find it's pretty much an even split between nothing-at-all and one-or-the-other. Almost no place has both. (I've seen it, but rarely.)

Glad you got there safe... because I had no internet (and have no excuse for not calling), I don't know why you're down there, except that it has to do with computers and work. Glad you got there safely, sorry I missed a Sterling hug at Old Dublin, get some rest, and know there will be a big hug when you get back... i'll wait in line... it's all good.
