Metaphysical Manifestations.

The other night, I was working at my computer in my darkened office, as I am now, and turned to throw something across the room into the trash can. As I did so, for a moment I could swear that I saw a large dog-sized chocolate-coloured cat of an Egyptian-looking breed lounging in the middle of the floor and raising its eyes to stare at me.

I blinked, and it was gone. There wasn't even anything in that part of the room which I might reasonably have mistaken for a very large cat. What's more, my very first impression in that instant of seeing it was "Oh my God! Its Bast!"

When I went to look up Egyptian cat breeds just now, I came across this picture of a statue of Bast, which very strongly resembles what I thought I saw for that instant:

Surely she just took a wrong turn somewhere while enroute to the five year anniversary for her shrine.

Always fun with these visits, isn't it? Though I can't figure out if I'd like them to last longer or not ;)
