Paying People to NOT get AIDS

The World Bank is funding an experiment where folks sign up to a "Don't Get STDs" program, and go in for monthly tests. Every time they test clean, they get a cash reward.

Sounds good to me: I get paid cash, and I don't get AIDS. Win/Win. Where do I sign up?

Nah, I don't think you'd qualify.

I believe the intent of these programs is to lure in people whose behaviour is higher risk to begin with.

This also sounds like the Guns for Toys (or whatever it was called) scheme that rewarded kids for turning in their own guns in exchange for books, videogames, etc., etc.

Still, you know, anything that reduces the statistics should be a good thing.
