I Can Has Cake?
Apr. 11th, 2008 05:46 pmBe careful what you wish for. At the reception for
tepintzin's (successful!) theology thesis defense, there was a large congratulatory cake (amongst other comestibles). When it was being cut up I jokingly asked for the 'piece with the cross on it'. It echoes a joke my Dad used to tell me. The cross was about 1/4 the size of the entire cake. Well there was too much cake for everyone to eat, and so two large plates of it came to our house with
tepintzin and
americanstd. One plate got finished yesterday, which was good, as
taxlady doesn't much care for white cake so it will fall to me to demolish what's left.
I just looked in the fridge and was startled to see that whats left, just for me, is the piece with the cross on it.
