I'm home again now. Job interview seemed to go pretty well. At least, it certainly wasn't the disaster I feared it might be. I did go blank on at least one question "What Linux distribution do you use?" For the life of me I could not remember the name "Mandriva".

So, now we wait. Its hard to call these things from one interview, but they seemed like good people that I'd enjoy working for. Now we'll find out if they think the same of me.

well instead of blanking you could do the cheesy answer and say "Well I haven,t committed to a single distro yet, I have tried X, and Z and might others in the future, you know, to explore the differences..."

Oh, I didn't do too badly on that question. I told them I'm using Ubuntu on my laptop and used Redhat at a previous job and said I was using Suse on my server and then corrected myself and said that actually I was blanking on the name of my server distro.

So, at least I didn't look like I had never heard of Linux. It just bugs me when something that I KNOW suddenly isn't in my head when I need it.

Considering the NDA I had to sign, I think I'm required to only refer to them via a codeword that I never reveal. I CAN tell you that the codeword for the codeword is XJ11-7B, but don't spread it around.
