British TV
Mar. 22nd, 2008 01:21 pmSo, I'm surprised to see a second episode of Torchwood was broadcast this week. When the BBC said it was moving the episodes from Tuesdays to Fridays I naturally assumed there would be a 10-day gap. Instead they released another episode on Friday, after having shown one on Tuesday. Haven't gotten around to watching it yet. I started it downloading last night and went to bed. I'll watch it this evening.
I'm told that one of the influences of both today's Doctor Who and Torchwood was a series called Sapphire and Steel. Unlike a number of contemporary British shows, I never heard of this one while it was airing and have never seen an episode. So, the other day when I found someone had uploaded the entire run, I decided to check it out. I don't know if it will be any good. Early 80's SF is a bit of an acquired taste, but I was a fan of Doctor Who back then, as well as UFO, and Logan's Run, among others.
So, did anyone on my flist watch the series way back when? And if so, what did you think of it?

I hope you enjoy it =)
