Just letting folks know I plan to participate in the LJ Strike in protest of all of the recent changes to LJ without consultation. I will not be posting or reading on LJ for 24 hours starting at midnight GMT, which is 8:00 pm local time.
They did offer a kind of apology, and said that they would "consider" letting new users switch to basic accounts, but still. /etc/hosts gets edited at midnight to keep me from temptation.
LJ changes? LJ stikes? WTF? It's an online journal hosting.... and so many people I know have migrated to the flavour of the day - facebook - as to make LJ almost ... empty?
