Taking Care of Linda.
Mar. 18th, 2008 01:12 pmWell, since a number of folks have asked in the last few days I should report that
taxlady is still quite ill. She's got no energy and her fever keeps spiking up to dangerous heights. Plus, she's been throwing up a fair bit. I gave her an alcohol rub down an hour or so ago when her temp was approaching 40.5 and we wanted to get it down fast. She's been taking ASA and AC&C to help with the temp, but there's only so much aspirin you can take (and nothing else works on her).
Later today I'm walking over to the nearby health-food store to see if I can find her some crackers or cracker bread that contain nothing but wheat and water. Right now any type of oil or grease in her food makes it inedible, and every commercial cracker in the house contains some sort of oil product.

Date: 2008-03-18 06:44 pm (UTC)It sounds like a nastier version of what I had over the weekend...and maybe last week. All of last week I had no energy, and had a hard time getting out of bed. Then over the weekend, I went to bed when I got home on friday, and didn't get out of it until Sunday night, when I started getting hungry. I had *no* apatite, and was slightly nauseous. I think it was during Saturday, I am think I had a fever as the room seemed so hot to me, I had to turn off the heater. Usually, I have to have it going when I am in the room for any length of time and the temp outside is below +5 C. I don't think it was that warm Saturday.
