Project Basement Begins!

swestrupNow that we finally have a plan for how to lay out the basement, we spent this afternoon moving boxes and furniture around to get the first increment of the process done. We essentially set up the simplest storage (in terms of moving things around) we could get set up and tomorrow the job of opening boxes and classifying contents can begin.
Once the pile of boxes has been reduced to a pile of things on shelves and in drawers, plus the inevitable pile of WTF-do-we-do-with-this? We should have enough room to set up the other shelves, move the desks and the credenza into their final positions, and start putting away the rest of the stuff.
When the basement rec room is finally in order, we'll then tackle the laundry room and its pile of boxes.
It'll be a lot of work, but I'm looking forward to finally having everything set up correctly in the basement.
