[personal profile] swestrup
Just a few minutes ago we finished burying [livejournal.com profile] sucha. She ended up in our garden, rather than a farmer's field. There was some debate as to which would remain undisturbed longer. We might move next year, and the new owners could dig up the garden. Then again, the farmer's field will probably be redeveloped soon as well.

I had wanted to use the field, because it would be relatively easy to dig through. Our little back yard is just a thin layer of soil over building rubble (as we discovered when we went to put in the garden a few years ago). So, the only place in our yard that one can dig deep enough to bury a cat is in the garden. Even then, we hit rubble before we had gotten really as deep as I would have liked. Still, I think it will do.

We took pictures of much of the proceedings. I'm sure [livejournal.com profile] taxlady will post them at some point.
