swestrupWebigail seems to have crashed. Not sure what happened. I was checking my email and in one moment it went from fine to completely unresponsive. Well, not completely, in that I could pull up a login screen on its console, I just couldn't log in, or do anything else. In the end I had to give it the three-fingered salute.
Right now it doesn't manage to pass file system check and actually hung in the middle of telling me one of the disks looked fine. :-/
Normally at this point I'd boot it up into single-user mode using the emergency boot CD we keep handy, but I can't find it anywhere. So, now I'm going to download and burn another copy of the boot CD, and see if I can't find out what is wrong.
Meanwhile, of course, I don't have a mail server so if you want to contact me, better use my swestrup -AT- gmail.com address.
EDIT: After some fardling around it seems like some raid partitions aren't being found, or refuse to live in the raid arrays, or something. I'm going to have to wait for the live DVD to finish downloading so I can check things out properly.
