What's New was a comic strip that used to run in the back of Dragon magazine, and its what got me hooked on Phil Foglio's work. The page linked to is the first of a two-page spread that I found intensely funny when I first read it 20 years ago, and which still give me chuckles today. Most of my favorite bits are on the second page.

Oh my gosh, I remember that strip! I'd forgotten that for years. There was one about how costumes could make the game better. In one panel, a big Viking like guy has asked to join a party and the confused dungeon master is saying, "Uh, okay elf maiden." In the next he's put on a costume where he's indistinguishable from his character. It was pretty funny.

Yeah, they're republishing one page every Sunday, so that will eventually show up. I actually bought a book collecting all the strip once, so I know which one you're talking about.
