Not long ago [livejournal.com profile] sps pointed to a critique of patterns in C++that basically explained how they were all workarounds in the language. He mentioned that the critique was even referenced in a Wikipedia article on patterns.

I checked out the article at the time and meant to get back to it, but now I can't find it. Nor can I find the entry where [livejournal.com profile] sps mentioned it, nor the Wikipedia article.

Maybe I was hallucinating?
