Last few days/night/intervals have been a bit chaotic and confused. I went to bed around 6:00 am friday morning and was awakened by [livejournal.com profile] taxlady's phone going off four times in a 30 minute span. I eventually realized I would not immediately fall asleep again so I dragged myself downstairs for some coffee. It was roughly 10:00 am.

Half an hour or so later, [livejournal.com profile] kino_kid, [livejournal.com profile] grimmwire and Rene showed up to take our guest Terry away to Toronto, or something like that. I really wasn't awake yet. I normally try not to greet visitors in my housecoat, but *shrug* sometimes it happens.

I continued to be not really awake until around 6:00 pm when I most definitely fell asleep, only to wake up from a most intriging (and erotic) dream around 10:00 pm. I tried for the next hour to fall asleep, and it didn't work, so I have endevoured to have a few large shots of vodka in OJ and some cheese, and will be shortly heading back to bed to try to get some more shut-eye. It would be really convenient if my day/night cycle would at least be vaguely in sync with the real day/night cycle for a bit, especially as we are in desperate need of groceries, while [livejournal.com profile] taxlady has been too busy to get them, and I've been asleep during shopping hours.

Shopping hours? You mean Montreal still hasn't converted to the civilized 24/7 shopping schedule? There is rarely a waiting line in Sobey's or Dominion at 3:30 am on a weeknight....thankfully...

Have you tried that shining a light behind the knees to reset the body's circadian rhythm? I wonder if that works?
(I don't suffer from your particular inability to fall asleep - give me a flat surface, and 30 seconds, and I can sleep for the appointed time, no alarm clock required. I also sleep both ways on the commuter train, and haven't missed the stop yet in 6 years...with no side *twitch* effecttsususslllll *twitch* at all that I've noticed...)
