Bad News for Miss Kitty (M_Cat.)

swestrupShe's had so many disapointments lately that I'm somewhat reluctant to post this, but friends tell friends things, even when its bad news.
I think I know what happened to the missing "Jade Trees Cafe" that she talked about in this post: http://www.livejournal.com/users/m_cat/23799.html.
I happened to be going along St. Laurent Blvd in Montreal today. For those who don't know the street, its a very trendy multicultural area with a wide diversity of restaurants. Well, much to my surprise I saw that a brand new Chinese Cafe had opened up with the name (in a chinese brush-stroke font) of "MEOW", which I KNOW is cat for "Its mine!".
It really looks like some other cat got ahold of the cafe and decided to set themselves up in business. If that store name is anything to go by, they aren't going to be inclined to give it back either. Then again, maybe I'm jumping to conclusions here. Maybe they ALSO ordered a Cafe from Amazon.com, only they got theirs. Still, it looks mighty suspicious!

Date: 2003-10-18 02:51 pm (UTC)Keep an eye on that place. In fact, see if you can get inside. I'd like to get my paws on their business model, since I don't have one of my own. It's rather difficult with paws, you know. I'm not quite sure what one looks like, but I expect it to smell like modeling glue. If you can make off with it and any paint or decals they might be thinking of adding to it, I would really appreciate it.
