So, my legs were acheing somewhat when I went to bed last night, so I doubted I would want to do another 3k walk first thing in the morning. So I made a deal with myself: either I do the 3km walk, or I stay home and sometime in the day I'll fix the couch. (All four legs broke off over a year ago, and so did the replacement legs shortly thereafter. We did buy materials to make another, much sturdier, set of replacements, but never got around to it.)

Anyway, I stayed home and I fixed the couch (yay me!) although I did manage to break a drill bit while doing so. Sigh, the phyical world is far more hostile to me than the digital one. Anyway, this has gone one step more towards the living room being livable at home, but there is still SO much more to do.

So much, in fact, that when I started contemplating the possibility of actually inviting people to a garlic munch on saturday, I had panic attacks. So, much as I would like to, I'm not having any big suppers here until I've at least dug down to the surface on ONE of the dining tables we have. Of course, by then _taxlady_ will be back, and it will be time to start worrying about my annual halloween party, and whether I can really afford to have one this year or not.

Its been broken since last christmas. We did tell you waaaaay back then when you came over that it might not be good for sleeping on, but you said it was fine. Nothing has changed since then, except now its fixed again.
