Sleep - Pro and Con
Jun. 13th, 2010 05:11 pmWell, my latest bout of serious insomnia seems to have ended. I'm now naturally falling asleep at the same time every night, dreaming normal (if boring) dreams, and consistently waking up eight hours later without an alarm.
The major downside to this is that my body has decided that bedtime is about 7:00 am and 'morning' is thus around three in the afternoon. Kind of puts a cramp in getting anything done. Seeing that I'm just now getting over some major insomnia, I'm not really willing to mess with that schedule too much, lest I bring it back.
I figure I can catch up on my lost sleep for another week or something. After that, I can try sorting out my hours as I've found that deliberately altering my sleep schedule always leads to many days of limited sleep.
Then again, we are now in a major period when parties are common in Montreal, and getting my schedule set to, for instance, a 11:00pm bedtime will make going to parties problematic as it doesn't take much deliberate staying up to wreck my sleep schedule, and to get home by 11:00pm I'll often have had to leave by 9:00pm, which is before most parties actually start.
