I spent yesterday with
kalkuly doing a bunch more sorting and cleaning at S' old place and I'm feeling it today. Creaky knees, creaky left elbow, and creaky just-about-everything-else. Still, the difference is very noticeable. Clearly we're making progress. a few more sessions like this and the place will be rentable.
Afterwards I went to Hurley's to meet up with the regular Wednesday gang and to pick up some papers for Linda. That made it a business trip, of course, so she was willing to subsidize the cost of a beer. My burger was paid out of my own pocket. Such are the strange monetary contortions one goes through when living with a bookkeeper :-)
It was good to meet up with the regulars, including a few folks that I do not remember having met before. The beer and burger were also most welcome after a day of schlepping dusty boxes around, but I was getting loopy from lack of sleep as I'd only had 4 hours the night before. I have no idea what kind of impression I thus made on the folks who hadn't met me before.
Anyway, leaving there at 8:00 pm, I managed to catch the last 470 out to the West Island, and was home by 9:30. Half an hour later I was asleep.
