You Call This Morning?
Oct. 23rd, 2007 07:30 amGah. I'm awake. That was NOT how the plan was supposed to work. I went to bed around 11:30pm, because I actually felt tired, but I woke up out of a dream around 3:00 am, and haven't been able to fall back asleep. At this point I guess I may as well just drink some coffee and see how long I can stay up before I crash.
The dream, BTW, was rather interesting, in a Stargate-sort of way. I was part of a transdimensional team headed by Samantha Carter and we were visiting a world where WWII had been fought with the aide of advanced alien technology that rains down from the skies there. (I can only imagine there's a large debris cloud that their Earth passes through, or something). We were trying to salvage some special technology that had been on board an aircraft carrier when it was sunk. We hadn't gotten very far in the exploration when we encountered robotic defenders, one of whom sliced my leg off with a laser, which is when I woke up.
It wasn't actually all that disturbing to me, as dreams go, but I simply couldn't fall back asleep afterwards, despite trying numerous times.
