The Perils of SF

One of the problems of writing in SF is that new scientific advances can ruin your main premise. This article points to two new papers that claim you cannot produce a pure quantum mechanical replicator. So much for the major villain in the NaNoWriMo novel I've been working on for the last two years.

That Corporate Look?

Its been obvious for some time now that pooq desperately needs a redesigned website. The only question in my mind is what look to go for. I think I want something that looks fluid, understated and corporate, but I've yet to find much of anything resembling that on the web. Does anyone have any favorite corporate websites (from a design standpoint)? If so, I'd love to hear about it.

Yum! The Alfonso Special.

I just made taxlady and I a plate full of high-class grilled-cheese sandwiches. Its something we call The Alphonso Special. Its a dish I haven't eaten in ages due to the Atkins thing, so it was about time.

Right now my tummy is making happing feelings at the rest of me.

I'd never heard of this stuff before, but it seems like its been around for a few years already. How long before we can get it in pixie-stix, I wonder?
