The Cycle Continues.

So, its now winter, the days are getting longer again, and xipetotec is getting older.

Achy, Creaky Me.

I'm more than a bit stiff this morning. Yesterday involved LOTS of cleaning and party preparation. Things (as usual) did not go quite as smoothly as planned in the preparation department, but on the whole everything got done that had to get done.

The dinner party was good fun. We didn't do it on as grand a scale as previous years. This time it was just six of us: me and taxlady, sps and lesnuages, zadcat and Janet. I think we welcomed in the new season in a proper manner.

The house looks completely different now. No piles of clutter in the main rooms. (My office and the master bedroom are a different story, but I'm happy to say the clutter in those places didn't increase during the cleaning either, so we have a net decrease of entropy -- woot!)

Of course, now there are tons of dishes to get done to clean it all up, but that's what the dishwasher (aka the washemupatron) is for. By the end of the day it should all be taken care of and the place should shine again.

For now though, its time to get some more coffee, and maybe some breakfast.
