I went downtown today. The original plan was just to go and attempt to pick up my notebook at the cafe where I lost it. Then I saw that there were plans for X-Men 3 and since I was gonna be downtown anyway, I included myself in.

Several changes of plans later, I ended up downtown at 5:15 to meet [livejournal.com profile] azrhey for 6:00 pm. Since I had 45 minutes to kill, I wandered into Indigo, since it was close to my destination. (Strange, but despite being MUCH closer yet, Paragraphe books did not entice me.)  I walked out with book 2 of Julie Czerneda's "Species Imperative", which I am really looking forward to reading.

I arrived about 20 minutes early for our meeting and bumped into [livejournal.com profile] azrhey at the door, as she was equally early. We enjoyed the sun and each other's company until 6:30 when we headed off to the food court under Paramount. We met up with [livejournal.com profile] pphaneuf there and grabbed some quick suppers. Sometime during this process [livejournal.com profile] rezindi showed up, and then as we were finnishing [livejournal.com profile] kyotto arrived. As we went to enter the movie, [livejournal.com profile] joenotcharles and [livejournal.com profile] gorbash_dragon showed up.

Altogether we went in and saw the movie, which I thought was pretty good, but not amazing. Still, I muchly enjoyed it. Afterwards we all marched to the Cafe Despot across Ste Catharine from Place des Arts, where we met up with [livejournal.com profile] taxlady and [livejournal.com profile] vierge_en_trop, but [livejournal.com profile] gorbash_dragon left us.

We sat and chatted for a while, and finally everyone had to head home. Almost as an afterthought, we swang by the cafe and I picked up my no-longer-lost notebook. (YAY!), and then we headed straight home.

I now see its about midnight, and I am supposed to be up around 5:00 am tomorrow. Eeep. Still, it was lots of fun, and the only downside was having to wear clothing in hot and sticky weather, although I'm glad I did, because that theatre was FREEZING.

And now, I get ready for beddy bye, as tomorrow is barrelling down upon me like a freight train.
