Its time to update my resume, and I'm not looking forward to it. Do I pretend that the last 3 months didn't happen? Do I put them in and try to explain them at an interview? Do I pretend I'm still working there?

I dunno. (I'm leaning towards #2 as that is the honest thing to do, but I'm unsure its the smart thing to do.)

Taxes Done?

The loverly [livejournal.com profile] taxlady just informed me that she's actually ahead of schedule to get all of her clients taxes done today. That means that we'll most likely be heading downtown at 8:00 pm to drop off the taxes at the tax office, rather than racing to get there by midnight, which I had expected.

As I sit here contemplating updating my Resume, I'm reminded that I chose this particular format (or a close cousin) something like 15 years ago. Recently [livejournal.com profile] _sps_ was telling me of various experiments he had performed in the line of resume structure. So, maybe its time to revisit the layout and structure of my Resume. If so, I would ask all and assembled for any pointers to what they think is a good example of a modern resume, and what it is that HR departments are looking for today.

So, at 8:00 pm [livejournal.com profile] taxlady announced that she was all finished. We hopped in the car and, after a quick detour to pick up some signed tax forms from a client, headed downtown to Place Desjardins to drop off all of her clients taxes. Mission accomplished!

After that, we decided to do a bit of minor celebrating, and so we headed home, and parked our car in its usual spot. We then walked the block and a half to the local red stick resto where we indulged in booze, food and wine, in that rough order. We eventually traipsed home again, much less sober than before, but quite a bit less stressed.

Now, its time for me to go to bed and snore a bunch, so I'm going to do just that.
