Geek point #1 - I didn't say 'wherefore art thou' because I know 'wherefore' means 'why'.
Geek point #2 - I have no idea how to spell wherefore.

Anyway, I got home from the LJ Meetup in pretty good spirits. taxlady made us a late hamburger supper, and I got ready for bed.

I didn't feel much like sleeping, so I played CIV III until I won around 2:30 am, and then headed off to bed.

Well, I'm still not asleep, although I feel rather groggy. I guess I'll check out some Tripping the Rift I downloaded, and then try again to snooze.

Yawn.

I am SOOO not feeling awake right now. I think I'm going to try and rotate my hours around, since that normally lets me catch up on sleep. I tried that last week, though, and it had the opposite effect. I ended up staying awake for 26 hours twice in a row, and only getting 8 hours in between, or something like that.

So, being an info-junkie I am subscribed to a dozen gazillion different newsfeeds, mostly involving science and technology. For local news I read the Montreal Gazette, just to keep abreast of things happening on the island. Anyway, as part of some minor cost-cutting efforts, we cancelled our Gazette subscription last Friday. They just called me back and offered it to me for under half the regular price. Since taxlady and I had agreed that if they gave us a substantial discount, we would keep the subscription, I'm now signed up again.

So, starting Friday I will once again be doing the daily crosswords...
