Help, Help, Dawn has Cracked!

Um, yeah. Ignore the title; I'm awake, not lucid. Anyway, I'm semi-vertical. I'm now finished catching up on LJ and am about to start on the Comics and various news sites that I read.

Sometime during that I'll have some breaky and a shower, and then I'll be all set for going shopping with taxlady when she wakes up.

After the groceries are in, she's heading off downtown to do some chores, and I'll be left alone with this ferslugginer firewall. At least today I'll be able to reboot it at random without worrying that I'm interfering with my sweetie's work.

Men Made Obsolete.

Well, that's done it then: scientists have finally gotten parthenogenesis to work.  They mixed the genes from two female mice and produced offspring.

That's the last thing that men were required for in this world, so I guess we're now officially obsolete.

No Firewall Yet.

I had to back out of the new firewall install in order to post this message. I'm giving up for today. With the new versions of the kernel and other software, it just doesn't seem to want to load its drivers. I did save an image of the non-working updated config, so it will only be a moments work tomorrow to restore it and continue the struggle.

So now I'm heading off to bed, where I will sleep soundly provided that peter %$^#! coton-%^&*($%%!-tail stops #$%%!! singing in the back of my head.

Those responsible: you know who you are, and you need to be punished!
