I think I'm back now. Other than a slightly croaky quality to my voice, which I hope will pass in the next couple of days, I now feel fine. Of course, I managed to feel fine just in time to miss a critical deadline for the TorCon braintrust (of which I am a member). Since what I was supposed to do was sort of a sine qua non of the next step, they either found someone else to do the job I was supposed to (which is the outcome I would most desire), or I've personally delayed things by roughly two weeks. Urgh.

Maybe tomorrow I'll be brave enough to contact people and find out which it was.
