Today seems to have dragged on forever. I haven't been able to get up any energy at all. I thought going for a walk down by the lake would help pick up my energy levels. Nope. It did just the opposite. I got home and was completely wiped for the next 3 or 4 hours. I sure hope this is just one of those pre-ketosis things the books warn you might encounter during the first 5 days of Atkins.

Anyway, I'm now drinking a last cup of tea for the day (which I just calculated put me 2 g over my 20 g carb limit for the day. Oops. Thats what happens when you end up having to use milk instead of cream. Oh well, these two weeks are supposed to be a learning experience. I'll try to do better tomorrow. If I can get up the energy to go to the store and buy cream, that would be very good. While there I could get pickles. I've been craving pickles today, and I'm even allowed to eat them, but we don't happen to have any. Darn.

Oh, I also got a call from SF today, for the first time in ages. She's been taking classes again, and then she got sick. She's also planning on going out of town in 6 weeks, but I'm sort-of hoping that there will be some opportunity in these 6 weeks to introduce her to the [livejournal.com profile] denizsarikaya and the [livejournal.com profile] nancyrihakova. The [livejournal.com profile] azrhey and the [livejournal.com profile] _sps_ have already met her, but the last meeting was some time ago. Apparantly the money problems I'm having NOW, she had last year, and she didn't feel much like seeing folks then. Lets hope that has changed.

got a ton of stuff when i had a look at pubmed (the major abstracting service for medicine run by the nationaol institutes of health
also got a number of consumer sites from the national institutes of health in the states including the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases and Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research - have a look - very short term it's not disasterous but it does have health effects - won't bore you with details but have got some leading refs if you would like to see them

you should perhaps focus on evidence-based medicine - i only mentioned those sites because they are for the layman and are certainly more reputable than most
- pubmed is the medical literature - have a look there if you have no problems reading medical lit
- not sure this is the venue for trading ref etc - i have my msn and yahoo handles in my profile if you want to continue this further
