Flattering but...

Why do I keep getting invited to volunteer to help out on interesting projects for free? Some of these are things that I'd just love to get into, but I have this deep-seated need for money. I just got invite #5 to participate (for free) in an interesting project. The only one I've said 'yes' to in any real way has been Anticipation, although there are two others that I give time to as I manage (which has not been terribly much lately).

Its nice to know that folks want my participation. Its not nice to know that no one wants it enough to pay me for it...
